The Contact Lenses Clinic of the School of Optometry and Vision Science provides students with hands-on training in fitting standard and specialty contact lenses for a wide range of visual conditions, while offering professional services to the general public, with particular focus on patients with complex vision needs.

The clinic offers comprehensive contact lenses examinations using advanced diagnostic equipment to ensure the most accurate and personalized lens fitting. Each evaluation takes into account essential fitting parameters, including:

  • Measurement of corneal diameter and curvature

  • Tear film assessment

  • Eyelid evaluation

All examinations are performed by final-year optometry students, under the close supervision of leading optometrists specializing in contact lenses.

The clinic provides fittings for a broad variety of contact lenses, including soft and rigid lenses, daily and monthly lenses, toric and non-toric lenses, multifocal lenses, and more. The clinic works with the leading contact lenses manufacturers and offers affordable, non-profit pricing.

Specialized Contact Lenses Fittings

Contact Lenses for Keratoconus
Keratoconus is a hereditary eye disease that affects the structure of the cornea. In advanced stages, vision quality cannot be adequately corrected with glasses or standard contact lenses. Patients diagnosed with keratoconus undergo a series of advanced examinations, including corneal topography, to enable the fitting of custom-designed specialty contact lenses aimed at achieving improved visual quality.

Contact Lenses for Myopia Control
Myopia (nearsightedness) is usually hereditary and often begins at a young age, progressing as the eye grows. The clinic offers personalized myopia control solutions designed to slow the progression of myopia. These include overnight orthokeratology (Ortho-K) lenses, specialized daily-wear soft lenses using advanced technology, and additional customized approaches. Early intervention is key to achieving optimal outcomes.

Multifocal Contact Lenses
Multifocal contact lenses provide clear vision at both distance and near and are ideal for patients who currently wear multifocal glasses. There are multiple fitting approaches, and our clinic specializes in selecting the most suitable solution tailored to each patient’s visual needs.

We invite you to schedule a contact lens fitting at the clinics of the School of Optometry and Vision Science.
Our team is committed to finding the optimal contact lenses solution for you.
