Optometry clinics for eye examinations
Students in the Optometry and Vision Science program benefit from a unique combination of scientific theory and hands-on clinical practice. Beginning in their second academic year, students are integrated into the School’s extensive clinical system, where they develop strong, practical clinical skills that prepare them for their future careers as expert optometrists.
The School of Optometry’s clinical services operate with a clear vision: excellent eyesight is essential, and everyone deserves to see well. The clinic system provides professional eye care services at no cost, and over the years has served many satisfied patients from across the country.
Each eye examination lasts approximately 90 minutes and is closely supervised by a senior optometrist. The comprehensive evaluation includes a detailed medical history, refraction testing, binocular vision assessment, and a thorough examination of eye health — including retinal imaging and intraocular pressure measurement using advanced, drop-free technology.
Following the examination, patients are welcome to visit the on-site optical store, offering a wide selection of stylish frames and high-quality lenses from leading suppliers in Israel and worldwide (including Chase, Optiswiss, Shamir, and others). Patients diagnosed with low vision may also order customized optical aids, all offered at affordable, non-profit prices.
The Eye Examination Clinic System is managed by optometrists Adi Antabi and Adi Amram, both graduates of the School of Optometry and Vision Science. They provide professional guidance and consultation to help patients select the most appropriate examination prior to their visit.
