Optometric Vision Therapy clinics

The School of Optometry and Vision Science at Bar-Ilan University offers a unique, no-cost clinic dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of visual function disorders.

Below is a partial list of signs and symptoms that may indicate a visual function disorder:

  • Squinting, covering one eye, and/or abnormal head posture during near work

  • Intermittent double vision

  • Difficulty copying from the board

  • Letters appearing to move on the page

  • Avoidance of prolonged reading

  • Blurred vision when shifting between distance and near vision

  • Head movements while reading

  • Motion sickness or nausea during travel

  • Omitting or substituting letters or words while reading

  • Headaches and/or eye strain following near work

The Vision Therapy Clinic includes weekly in-person sessions designed to train and strengthen the visual system. Therapy focuses on developing precise eye movements, eye coordination, and overall visual control. Under the supervision of a certified developmental optometrist, optometry students tailor a personalized therapy and exercise program for each patient and provide guidance for structured home practice.

If you or a family member experience any of the above signs or symptoms, you are invited to schedule a diagnostic evaluation at the School of Optometry and Vision Science.
